Greetings from the Northern Hemisphere once again.
Scotland is amazing. I feel that I was born to live here, as everyone is very friendly and the weather is arctic. I’ve been told (much to my disappointment) that it does not snow in Edinburgh itself- it just gets incredibly cold to the point of making you wonder […]

I was very excited checking my bank account the other day to find that I was a lot better off for funding than I thought I was. Wow, I mustn’t have been doing as much shopping as I thought.
This moment of thinking I was being very good with my money was stomped on when I […]

Well this morning I started off by sleeping in late an hour!! (thanks to the noisy girls next door that kept me awake last night). So I missed the 8:00 bus I had anticipated catching. Unfortunately I had to settle for the 10:00 bus from cork to dublin- which meant a later check in at […]

First of all sorry for being so lazy this past week- Yes I am alive and well, and have been checking my mail, but seem to get distracted by certain people talking to me online!
I’ve been in Ireland for 4 or so days now- and have been having such a great time that it seems […]

Yesterday morning I woke up and went into town to meet a Swedish girl I had met on the Loch ness tour the previous day (sara). Her phone was broken in the morning, so it was a little hard to get in contact with her. I chanced it and went into town anyway, eventually getting […]

After breakfast this morning we decided to do some sightseeing. It’s a shame that everything goes into hibernation in the winter time; so we only got to see outside the castle, victor hugo’s house, the guernsey clockmakers and a few other attractions. We did, however, get to see inside the german occupation museum, guernsey aquarium, […]

Ok I’ve realised that I havent updated this for quite some time… so here’s a bit of a backlog of what’s been happening: Dad has now realised that it’s not a good idea to wake me up at 6am. I told him I wanted the day to myself, which was a brilliant idea. In the […]

Yet another “late” start this morning- my final day in Vietnam. I have enjoyed my stay here, but at the same time am looking forward to going somewhere new.
After breakfast I leisurely strolled back to the hotel room to pack everything up. It was only then that I realised I had bought a lot more […]

Today was the best day so far, as I got to wander around the old quarter by myself, and sleep in until 7:00! What a luxury. Breakfast was instant noodle soup with beef, which was actually very tasty.
I stumbled off by myself to the bank to change some money before going shopping. Hanoi is a […]

We set off early (again) this morning to meet our personal chef “Song” for Hoa Sua School, who proceeded to lead us around a local market to collect ingredients for the cooking class. Our new driver isn’t half as nice as Tu was… but I suppose I cant expect to have nice people all the […]

This morning was a very early start from Bac Ha. We jumped straight in the car after the usual western-friendly pancakes for breakfast to head back to Hanoi.
Tu (our driver) realised he forgot his phone about 15 minutes into the trip, so that set us back half an hour, but that didn’t worry me.
The drive […]

Another early start this morning, as the local roosters had the nerve to wake me up at 6am! I had chocolate and banana pancakes (i’ve worked out that they are safe to eat) before attempting to get in the car.
I say attempting because on the way out of the hotel I was mobbed by several […]
