Singapore with Hasif
Yesterday Hasif and I went for a drive around singapore with some of his friends. We covered a lot of ground, and went out for lunch at an old railway station. The trains there go all the way up through Malaysia to Thailand. Here’s a photo of me after having just enjoyed some Mee Goreng noodles, which were so fresh and delicious.
After that we went driving to Vivo City, which is a newly built Mega Mall. Singaporeans are famous for enjoying good food and good Shopping, but in my case my bags are too full for shopping, and stomach is too full to eat! Here’s a photo of Z, Hasif and myself at the Hagen Dasz icecreamery at Vivo:
We then picked up another friend of theirs and went to Little India, where we ate from palm leaves with our hands. I wasn’t very hungry and had to save some room for pizza when I got home to Nafeesa’s! It was nice to see her again after her exams. She had 2 yesterday and still has another 2 to go!
Today I am going to Melacca with Aneesa (Nafeesa’s Sister) and Mustafa (their 6 year old brother). I was going to go to Palau Tioman Island, but because there’s the Monsoon coming over from China it’s not such a good idea. So we’re going to shop in Melacca instead, and leave Mustafa with his cousins, and stay with Mr Fazal’s brother until Friday.

Hi Mum,
I will call you when I am settled in Sweden and let you know what my number will be. I will try to get an Aussie home number so that you can call me for the cost of a local call. Just got home from Malaysia today so I’ll write more soon.
Love Marian
